SHIPPING AND RETURNS

SHIPPING POLICY

At NorthStar Hydraulics, we take pride in delivering high-performance hydraulic cylinders to professionals across North America. Our shipping model is structured to meet the needs of both B2B and B2C customers:

  • B2B (OEM/Wholesale) Orders: Fulfilled and shipped directly from our manufacturing site (domestic or international), based on volume and lead time.

  • B2C (Retail/eCommerce) Orders: Shipped from our Ontario-based Canadian warehouse, with fast in-stock processing.

All shipments are securely packed and tracked to ensure prompt delivery.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays. Same-day shipping applies to most in-stock items ordered before 3:30 PM EST.

 

Observed Holidays (2025):

  • January 1 – New Year’s Day

  • April 18 – Good Friday

  • May 19 – Victoria Day

  • July 1 – Canada Day

  • September 2 – Labour Day

  • October 14 – Thanksgiving (Canada)

  • December 24 – Christmas Eve

  • December 25 – Christmas Day

  • December 26 – Boxing Day

Note: Orders placed after 3:30 PM EST on Fridays or during holidays will ship the next business day. Over 98% of in-stock retail orders are shipped within 24 hours of order confirmation.

EXCEPTIONS TO STANDARD SHIPPING

Delays may occur due to:

  • Mixed orders with custom or non-stock items

  • Drop-shipped goods or multi-location sourcing

  • Freight or LTL shipment coordination

  • Incomplete or incorrect billing/shipping info

  • Payment clearance delays

  • External factors (weather, strikes, border issues)

SHIPPING METHODS

  • Retail (B2C): Ground shipping by Canada Post, UPS, Purolator, or FedEx.

  • Bulk/Freight (B2B): Palletized and LTL shipments via trusted logistics partners. Liftgate or dock delivery must be specified at time of order.

  • International: Duties, customs fees, and taxes are the responsibility of the Customer.

Tracking numbers are issued upon dispatch. Shipping cost is based on weight, size, and destination.

FREE SHIPPING OFFER

We offer free standard ground shipping within Canada on eligible orders that:

  • Have a pre-tax value of $35 or more

  • Weigh 50 lbs or less

  • Include qualifying products (excludes custom, oversized, or freight-only items)

Excluded: Freight, express, and oversized shipments. Cannot be combined with other offers.

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

At NorthStar Hydraulics, we understand that returns may occasionally be necessary. If you're not fully satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 45 days of receipt to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

STANDARD RETURN POLICY

  • Returns requested within 15 days of purchase may be eligible for a full refund (excluding shipping).

  • Returns made between 16 and 45 days will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

  • Returns after 45 days cannot be accepted.

All returned items must be:

  • Unused and in original, saleable condition

  • In original packaging

  • Accompanied by a valid RMA number

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

We do not accept returns, cancellations, or credits on:

  • Special/custom orders (e.g. cut tubing or rod)

  • Gas/diesel-powered equipment that has been fueled or oiled

  • Final sale or clearance items

HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

  1. Contact our Customer Service team at 800-800-1810 to request an RMA number.

  2. Ship your item(s) to the address provided, clearly labeling the package with the RMA number.

  3. Include a copy of your invoice or packing slip.

We strongly recommend:

  • Shipping via FedEx or UPS

  • Purchasing shipping insurance to protect against transit damage

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable

  • Returns received in damaged or incomplete condition may incur deductions

  • Any credit issued will be based on the lower of the original invoice or current sale price

  • Unsaleable or obsolete items may be subject to repair or disposal fees
